I combined a recycled 40 caliber silver bullet shell casing with a burnt orange aura quartz crystal point. I attached a dark silver filigree to the casing and then added a tiny vintage orange glass pumpkin jack-o-lantern cabochon. This comes with a 24 inch antiqued silver plated chain. A great pendant to wear for Fall and Halloween trick-or-treating.

Mystic or aura quartz is natural quartz crystal that has been laser heat treated with elements to add a rainbow color coating to the quartz. The orange color is created by bonding iron and platinum to quartz crystals with a heating process.

In the 1800s Halloween guisers or mummers in parts of Ireland and Scotland commonly used jack-o'-lanterns. They were carved with grotesque faces to represent spirits or goblins. October 31 to November 1 was known as Samhain and it was seen as a time when spirits or fairies were particularly active. Samhain is a celebration of both light and dark. The New Year begins on Samhain in Celtic tradition, but it also marks the end of harvest and the start of winter.  

I have been creating bullet jewelry since 2009 and have designed over a hundred different styles and types. I use recycled bullet shell casings, metal filigrees, Swarovski crystals, natural gemstones and vintage glass. All of the bullet casings I use are recycled so please allow for variations and small imperfections.

I started my bullet jewelry line as a peace project, and I continue to donate part of the sale to different charities. I have sent donations to the Peace Corps, the Patriot Guard Riders, the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, the Sandy Hook School Support Fund, and the USO.
